Napoli will be out to shock the champions Juventus in their second game of the 2019/20 campaign. There is plenty to talk about as two of Serie A’s top sides take each other on. Bet on football here.
They both won their opening fixtures to set up a huge battle in just the second weekend of the campaign, with both sides targeting the title. Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri might have to wait longer for his debut in the Juve dugout after a bout of pneumonia.
Carlo Ancelotti side won 4-3 at Fiorentina in a back-and-forth game which suggested that Napoli’s defence has not quite clicked yet. The question that begs is whether the Old Lady be able to hold back a Napoli side who have explosive attacking talent?
Betting preview
Juventus have done pretty well in recent home games against Napoli. The Bianconeri have won six of the last nine games against their visitors, including three wins over the last four encounters. Juventus have rarely lost home points in their previous Serie A games and you can fancy them to bag all three points at odds of 1.90.
Looking at Napoli’s first performance against Fiorentina last weekend, there is every reason to expect a similar outing at the Juventus Stadium. Over 2.5 Goals have been scored in their last four games and in the last two meetings between the sides. Backing Over 2.5 Goals promises decent returns at odds of 2.05.
The Old Lady have scored at least one goal in their last six games in all competitions. Napoli have conceded seven goals in their last two games if you count the 0-4 defeat against Barcelona in a friendly. The visitors have been used to high scoring games, with 13 of their last 14 in Serie A seeing both teams score and you can back that to land at odds of 1.90.
Team news
Maurizio Sarri missed his team’s triumph over Parma due to illness, but hopes to return to the bench against his former club. Adrien Rabiot has impressed in pre-season and will certainly become a constant selection once he is in top form.
Carlo Ancelotti is likely to keep the same starting lineup as against Fiorentina last weekend. Hirving Lozano should still start on the bench whilst Fabián Ruiz, a European Under-21 champion with Spain this summer, should retain his place in the starting lineup.
