Meanwhile, Taifa Stars, who will be playing in only their second ever AFCON tournament, will look to build on their decent form. Here’s the Big Game Focus with some betting tips. Bet on the game here.

2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosts Egypt lost their first warm-up game and will be looking to bounce back in a bid to build up some momentum heading into the tournament which gets underway next week. The Pharaohs have not won their last two games which come after four straight wins. Mohammed Salah and company will need to show they’re not in any rust ahead of the eagerly awaited tournament.

Taifa Stars will be participating in their second ever AFCON tournament and what a way to warm up by playing hosts and favourites Egypt. Emmanuel Amuneke’s men are clear-cut underdogs in this warm-up. However, regardless of the outcome, he’ll want to see how his team performs against one of the best on the continent.

Betting preview

Egypt have won two of their last two matches in the first half while Taifa Stars have lost two of their last four in the first half. Therefore, you can back a First Half Home Win at odds of 1.55.

Three of the last four matches between these two has seen at least three goals. Egypt have scored Over 2.5 Goals in their last three home matches. Therefore, you can back Over 2.5 Goals at odds of 1.55.

The second half has seen more goals in Egypt’s last three home matches, while two of Tanzania’s last four away matches have seen more goals in the second period compared to the first. Therefore, odds of 2.00 for Second Half with most goals is attractive.

Salah is still receiving extra rest following Liverpool’s Champions League win and will not be involved in this friendly.
