Big Game Focus: AC Milan v Juventus

Two of Italy’s most famous clubs clash tonight as AC Milan takes on Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-finals at the San Siro. Both teams are aiming to bounce back following humiliating defeats at the weekend in Serie A. Here’s the Big Game Focus. Bet on the game here.

AC Milan suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of rivals Inter Milan on Sunday, blowing a 2-0 lead and conceding four goals in the second half. The manner of the defeat was humiliating also taking into account Stefano Pioli’s side were building momentum in the last few weeks. Milan have also been underwhelming in this competition. They have won just one Coppa Italia since 1977, which is really poor considering their stature and history. Can they upset Juventus?

Juventus, on the other hand, suffered a shock defeat to Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday and head into this huge clash looking to get back to winning ways. Good news is, they’ve already beaten both Milan sides at the San Siro this term. Can they beat AC for the 10th straight game?

Betting preview

Juventus have beaten AC Milan nine times in a row. The Rossoneri have lost all of their six games against the top five in Italy this season. You can back a Juventus Win at odds of 2.15.

Both teams have found the net in four of both Milan’s and Juventus’ last five games in all competitions. Juventus have kept just three clean sheets in their last ten games in all competitions. Therefore, odds of 1.70 for Both Teams to Score look attractive.

Three of Milan’s last five matches have seen at least three goals, while Juventus’ last five games have seen three or more goals scored. For that reason, you can back Over 2.5 Goals at odds of 1.90.

Team news

Davide Calabria and Mateo Musacchio are likely to return in defence, but Rade Krunic remains a doubt for Milan. Leo Duarte is also still out.

Douglas Costa has been ruled out for at least two weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against Hellas Verona. Sami Khedira and Merih Demiral are long-term absentees, while Giorgio Chiellini isn’t quite ready to return.
