Ajax have the home advantage in Saturday’s Super Cup Final against arch-rivals PSV after claiming the league and cup double last season. PSV were also incredible last season, picking up 83 points and losing just three times, the fewest of any team in the league. However, they were outclassed by ten-man Ajax in a match that proved decisive in the title race. Who will prevail this time round? Bet on football here.

Ajax’s success has regrettably come at a price, with star players like Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong and Maximilian Wöber all leaving the club for pastures. So this will be a different Ajax side who will still play the same attractive attacking football that made fans all over the world fall in love with them last season. Ajax have had a decent preseason and should be raring to go on Saturday night.

PSV also have lost their top scorer Luuk de Jong to Sevilla but they’re still a competitive team under Mark van Bommel. PSV have only played four friendlies because of their participation in the Champions League qualifiers. On Tuesday, they defeated Basel 3-2 at home and should be match-fit for this huge showdown with their arch-rivals.

Betting preview

Ajax have the home advantage in the final. Ajax have won seven of the last ten games in all competitions. Erik ten Hag’s men are unbeaten at home against PSV since October 2015. The last match saw Ajax win 3-1 against Van Bommel’s side. You can back a Home Win at odds of 1.78.

Ajax have scored Over 2.5 Goals in their last four games. Meanwhile, PSV has seen three or more in three of their last four outings. Three or more goals have been scored in the last four meetings between these two huge rivals. For that reason odds of 1.43 for Over 2.5 Goals are appealing.

Nine of Ajax’s last ten games have seen both teams find the back the net. PSV have kept only two clean sheets in their last six matches. The last match also saw both teams score. Therefore, you can back Both Teams to Score at odds of 1.47.

Team news

Hassane Bandé is back in training for Ajax but could still miss out this weekend due to an ankle injury. First choice goalkeeper Andre Onana and Hakim Ziyech are still on holiday due to their participation in the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations.

PSV have no fresh injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s trip to Amsterdam.
