Big Game Focus: Inter Milan v Juventus

Juventus have wrapped up this season’s Scudetto and visit San Siro on Saturday evening for the Derby d’Italia against Inter Milan, who are still looking to cement their top four place. Here’s the Big Game Focus with some betting tips. Bet on the game here.

After an early exit in the Champions League and Europa League, Inter Milan’s only focus remains a top-four place in the Serie A. They will need maximum points against a team with nothing to play for in order to secure their third place with seven matches left to play.

Despite winning the Scudetto for the eighth successive season, Juventus have endured a bizarre campaign, as they went out of the Champions League, a competition they were considered favourites. They will play this match only for pride and should expect a tough game from Inter.

Betting preview

Inter Milan have lost just twice at home in their last ten matches in Serie A. Juventus have also been shaky in recent weeks. They’ve won just one of their last four, and even that was a narrow win against a struggling Fiorentina. Therefore, you can back an Inter Milan Double Chance at odds of 1.40.

The hosts have kept two clean sheets in their last six Serie A matches while champions Juventus have not kept a clean sheet in their last five matches in the league. These two fierce rivals have also had success in front of goal in their last five. The visitors have scored in seven straight Serie A matches while Inter have failed to score in just two of their last ten matches. Therefore odds of 1.80 for Both Teams to Score look appealing.

Inter have seen Over 2.5 Goals in their last three home matches against Juventus in all competitions. There have been Over 2.5 Goals scored in Juventus’s last three Serie A games.  Therefore you can back Over 2.5 Goals at odds of 2.15.

Team news

Marcelo Brozovic is back to full fitness and could start for Inter. Strikers Lautaro Martinez and Mauro Icardi are in contention for a starting spot, though the latter is expected to sit out again.

Massimiliano Allegri has a few concerns ahead of the trip to Milan. Captain Giorgio Chiellini and Douglas Costa are doubtful for this match. However, Paulo Dybala, Sami Khedira and Mario Mandzukic will miss through injury.

Possible line-ups

Inter: Handanovic, D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Skriniar, Asamoah, Vecino, Valero, Politano, Nainggolan, Perisic, Martinez

Juventus: Szczesny, Cancelo, Bonucci, Rugani, Sandro, Cuadrado, Can, Pjanic, Matuidi, Bernardeschi, Ronaldo.
