Premier League leaders Liverpool host Everton in the 234th Merseyside derby as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. The Reds have won 13 of their 14 games and play an Everton side desperate for a win. The Toffees hover above the relegation zone at 17th with 14 points, two more than 18th-placed Southampton. Here’s the Big Game Focus. Bet on this game here.

Liverpool have been in a league of their own this season. They are yet to lose after their first 14 games in the Premier League so far and sit comfortably at the top of the table, eight points clear. They have dominated this fixture in the last few years. The Reds have also lost only one of the past 25 league derbies, none in the past nine years and last tasted an Anfield defeat against Everton two decades ago.

Everton, on the other hand, are two points above the relegation zone after seven defeats in their past 10 league games. The pressure is mounting on manager Marco Silva and a defeat at Anfield could be the final straw. Can he save his job with a win?

Betting preview

Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten at Anfield in 47 league games and equaled a club record of 31 league games unbeaten with a victory against Brighton on Saturday. The Reds have won each of their last 14 league matches at Anfield. Liverpool have also lost only one of the past 25 league derbies. For that reason, you can a Home Win at odds of 1.40.

Liverpool have kept just two clean sheets in the league this season. They’ve conceded in each of their last seven home games this term. Despite their woes, the Toffees have managed to get on the scoresheet in nine of their 14 Premier League matches this season and in four of their last five games on the road. Everton have kept three clean sheets in their 14 games this season. You can back Both Teams to Score at odds of 1.80.

Five of Liverpool’s last six games in all competitions have seen three or fewer goals scored while Everton’s last four league games have seen Under 3.5 Goals. Therefore, you can back Under 3.5 Goals at odds of 1.55.
