Hertha Berlin winger Javairô Dilrosun has earned his first call up to the Netherlands national team. The 20-year old left Manchester City to join the Bundesliga club in the summer, where he has now directly participated in six goals (two goals, four assists) in 13 matches this season. Fulham’s Manchester United loanee Timothy Fosu-Mensah was omitted from the latest selection.
Paul Pogba, Benjamin Mendy and Anthony Martial have all withdrawn from the French squad owing to injuries. Alexandre Lacazette was also forced to withdraw, despite having being called up as a replacement for Martial. Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko and Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea – who wins his first call up – have taken up the two spots.
