Big Game Focus: Brentford v Leicester

Leicester City travel to Championship side Brentford on Saturday in the fourth round of the FA Cup looking to maintain their quest of winning the two domestic cup competitions this season. Here’s the Big Game Focus. Bet on the game here.

After a slight stumble, which saw them lose back-to-back games against Southampton and Burnley, the Foxes recovered to hammer West Ham United 4-1 in midweek in the Premier League. Brendan Rodgers side will be looking for another win as his side goes in search of silverware.

Brentford presents a stern test for the Foxes. The hosts are currently enjoying a run of just one defeat in their last nine games across all competitions meaning the Foxes should get a run for their money.

Betting preview

Leicester have won seven of their last ten matches away from home in all competitions. Although Brentford have been excellent in the last few weeks, the Foxes’ quality should prevail. Therefore, you can back a Leicester City Win at odds of 1.70.

Leicester’s attack away from home has been phenomenal. They have scored in all their away matches since the 1-0 at Old Trafford to Manchester United in September. The hosts have scored in their last seven home games with the Foxes have kept just one clean sheet in their last six away games. For that reason, you can back both teams to score at odds of 1.80.

The Foxes last six away games have seen three or more goals scored. Four of Brentford’s last seven home games have seen Over 2.5 Goals. You can back Over 2.5 Goals in this encounter at odds of 1.80.

Team news

Brentford manager Thomas Frank should play his full-strength side since he will see this as a great challenge. Emiliano Marcondes scored the winner against Stoke in the previous round and could start here, though Nikolaos Karelis and Marcus Forss remain sidelined.

Rodgers may be tempted to shuffle his pack. The likes of Wes Morgan and Filip Benkovic should start in defence replacing starters Jonny Evans and Çağlar Söyüncü. However, Wilfred Ndidi and Matty James are both sidelined.

Possible line-ups

Brentford: Daniels; Racic, Jeanvier, Pinnock, Rasmussen, Marcondes, Yearwood, Norgaard, Marcondes, Castillo, Mbeumo

Leicester: Ward, Justin, Morgan, Benkovic, Fuchs, Choudhury, Praet, Albrighton, Perez, Barnes, Gray
