Champions League Final Preview: Can Man City book their place Inter the history books?

The Champions League Final takes place on Saturday 10th June, with English Premier League champions Manchester City taking on Inter Milan at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

After defeating their local rivals Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup Final at Wembley last weekend to complete a domestic double, Pep Guardiola’s side could become the first English side since the Red Devils in 1999 to lift the most coveted three assets on offer in the same season.

However, while Inter may represent surprise finalists, Simeone Inzaghi’s side could provide stubborn opposition having kept five clean sheets in their six knockout matches in the Champions League this season.

As ever, Premier Bet are offering the Best Odds available on major cup finals, while providing a fantastic Goals Giveaway promotion on Saturday’s final:

Man City v Inter (Saturday 10th June, 8pm BST)

Unsurprisingly given their imperious form over the past few months, Man City are short-priced favourites to win in normal time at odds of 1.49.

The draw, which would lead to extra-time and potentially penalties, has been priced at 4.90, while you can back an Inter victory in normal time at 7.00.

Our traders slightly favour only one team scoring, with Both Teams To Score (Yes) priced at odds of 1.98, compared to Both Teams To Score (No) at 1.91.

We are inclined to agree with that, and our Recommended Bet would be backing Man City to win to nil (1/NG) at odds of 2.28.

Prior to wrapping up the Premier League title and taking their foot off the gas, the Citizens had kept three consecutive clean sheets, including their mouth-watering 4-0 victory over the reigning champions Real Madrid in this competition.

Admittedly, that thumping win was on their home pitch at the Etihad Stadium, but they have more than enough about them to keep Inter quiet, providing they play anywhere close to their best level.

Man Utd only managed to find their way past Guardiola’s side courtesy of a generous penalty being awarded, while during the group stages Inter blanked in both of their meetings against Bayern Munich, who were comfortably swatted aside by Man City in the quarter-finals.

Lastly, with Premier Bet providing a Goals Giveaway offer, it would be remiss not to pay homage to Erling Haaland. The 22-year-old is being tipped to rival Lionel Messi for this year’s Ballon d’Or after scoring 52 goals and counting for his new side this season.

He’s odds-on at 1.59 to score anytime on Saturday, but you can get almost double those odds at 3.00 for him to score first or last in the match.
