The draw for the Round of 16 in the Champions League was made on Monday 17 December in Nyon, Switzerland.

As a result of the draw, we have adjusted the outright betting odds. Here are the top five teams, along with a dark horse or two, for you to consider.

Who’s going to win the Champions League? You can bet on it here.

Manchester City
Odds:
3.85
Champions League record:
Semi-final

When you look at the plethora of options available to Pep Guardiola at City, it is no surprise to see the Premier League champions as favourites to win the trophy. However, the Citizens have a poor record in Europe. They haven’t got past the Round of 16 in three of the last five seasons, whilst Guardiola has “struggled” in the Champions League since leaving Barcelona.

Ultimately, City have the team to do it. But do they have the experience? At odds of 3.85, the value isn’t really there.

Barcelona
Odds:
5.25
Champions League record: 5 titles

Top of La Liga, top of their Champions League group and Lionel Messi on form. There are plenty of reasons why Barca could win their first European title since 2015. They won their group without defeat, which included tough teams like Tottenham and Inter Milan.

Beyond the incredible form of Messi, Ousmane Dembele has rediscovered the form that put him on the map at Borussia Dortmund, and a favourable tie against Lyon awaits them in the Round of 16. Could this be the best value at this stage? Mr. Predictor backed them at the start of the year.

Juventus
Odds:
7.25
Champions League record: 2 titles (1 pre-Champions League)

With Cristiano Ronaldo amongst their ranks, the Old Lady could go the distance for the first time since 1996. They lost in the final to Barcelona (2015) and Real Madrid (2017), but with the talismanic Portuguese in their line-up, perhaps things could be different this time around?

They’ve been handed a tricky Round of 16 draw though, with Ronaldo’s former city rivals Atletico Madrid waiting to take them down a peg. However, Juve look stronger than in previous seasons, whilst many of the bigger teams do not.

PSG
Odds:
8.00
Champions League record: Quarter-finals

PSG navigated what looked to be the trickiest group, with a first placed finish over Liverpool, Napoli and Red Star Belgrade. Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are in impeccable form and now have a Round of 16 tie against a Manchester United side that has an interim manager and a flaky defence.

Neymar and co. have been labelled underachievers and bottlers in the Champions League though, and despite all of their talent, there are still major question marks over them. Is 8.00 worthy of a cheeky punt?

Liverpool
Odds:
10.50
Champions League record: 5 titles (4 pre-Champions League)

Xherdan Shaqiri has added strength in depth to Liverpool

Last year’s defeated finalist are the fifth favourites to go one step further in 2019. Like PSG, they made their way out of a tough group and showed the bottle to progress in their final game against Napoli.

The Reds have solidified at the back and now seem to have more options up front and in midfield. However, their Premier League title push is the most realistic in years, and it will be difficult to battle on both fronts.

Outsiders

It goes to show how far Real Madrid have fallen, for them to be sixth in the list at odds of 12.00. The loss of Ronaldo was a blow, but the failure to get anywhere close to replacing him was criminal.

Bayern Munich (13.50) and Atletico (21.00) are always in the mix and may represent value, however they do face tough Round of 16 matches.
