Golden Boot Premier League Outrights

The 2019/2020 Premier League season is less than a month away. The likes of Harry Kane, Mo Salah, Sergio Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be fighting for the Golden Boot. Who is going to win it this time? Here are the favourites. Bet on the Premier League here.

Harry Kane – 5.00

Kane endured an injury-plagued 2018/2019 season and only played 28 games. He managed to score 17 goals. The England international has won two Premier League Golden Boots already which makes him a favourite for next year’s title. He has scored 122 goals in the last five seasons which is a testament to his potency in front of goal. If he can manage to stay healthy, he’ll be one of the men to beat for next season’s Golden Boot.

Mohamed Salah – 6.00

Salah made a mockery of those who called him a one-season wonder after his record-breaking 32 Premier League goals in 2017/2018 was followed up with another 22 goals last campaign. With Liverpool looking to challenge for the league title again next season again, Salah will be hungrier to deliver in front of goal alongside teammate Sadio Mane who jointly won the Golden Boot with the Egyptian. After making his debut two seasons ago, Salah has established a reputation as one of the league’s best marksmen. Can he continue with this consistency?

Sergio Aguero – 6.75

Aguero will go down as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever strikers. From his extraordinary title-winning goal in the 2011/2012 season to his match-winning heroics in the last few seasons, there’s nothing the Argentine hasn’t done in this league. However, it’s still mind-boggling that he’s only won one Golden Boot given his consistency. Even though he’s in his 30s now, Aguero is a proven finisher and will have a lot to say in next season’s race for the Golden Boot.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 7.75

In just one-and-a-half seasons in the Premier League, Aubameyang has scored 32 goals in 49 appearances. A startling statistic which shows just how good he is. Last season, he finished with 22 goals and won the Golden Boot alongside Salah and Mane. He was pushed out wide last season to accommodate Alexandre Lacazette as a striker. Next season, Unai Emery should surely use him a lot more as a centre-forward. Furthermore, he didn’t go more than three matches without scoring meaning he’ll always be a threat. If he stays healthy, he’s in the Golden Boot conversation for next season.

Sadio Mane – 11.75

Mane was terrific last season. Twenty-two goals from the wing is exceptional. Liverpool will definitely want to defend their Champions League title and challenge for the league title and goals from him and Salah will come in handy. The Senegal international will be motivated by his Africa Cup of Nations performance where he scored three goals and leading his country to the final.

Outsiders

Raheem Sterling – 14.75

The Manchester City winger had one of his best seasons in the last campaign and finished with 17 goals which helped City win their second title in a row. On top of that, he also finished with 10 assists. Matching that will not be easy for Sterling given the wealth of attacking talent on his team. However, he can’t be counted out.

Jamie Vardy – 18.25

In Leicester’s unforgettable title-winning campaign in the 2015/2016 season, Vardy missed the Golden Boot by a whisker as he finished with 24 goals, one shy of Harry Kane’s 25. Since then he’s been consistent for Leicester and their push for European football. Last season he finished with 18 goals. He proved that he has still got that finishing touch and blistering pace that made him one of the lethal strikers in the league.

Romelu Lukaku – 35

Lukaku had an underwhelming 2018/2019 season where he finished with 15 goals. He had patches of good form in front and prolonged goal droughts in a troubled Manchester United. If he stays at United, he’ll definitely have a crack at his first Golden Boot. In the 2016/2017 season, he scored 25 goals which was his best return in the league. If he can stay consistent throughout the season, Lukaku can score 25 plus goals.
