Hi gang! The big game in midweek is undoubtedly the Europa League final, but I’ve given you a few tips on other matches too. You can bet on them here.
Chelsea 1 v 1 Arsenal – Wednesday 29 May – Europa League Final – Both Teams to Score (1.70)
It’s a London derby in the final. Chelsea are unbeaten in the Europa League so far this season and have only lost one of their last ten games in all competitions. However, four of the last five have ended in a draw, and they’ve only won two of their last ten games against Arsenal. The Gunners need to win to be in the Champions League next season and have won five in a row in the competition. Neither of these teams have been truly convincing this year, so I’ll back a Draw.
DC United 1 v 0 Chicago Fire – Wednesday 29 May – MLS – Both Teams to Score No (2.15)
DC United are fighting at the top of the Eastern Conference after winning two home games in a row. Things aren’t going so well for Chicago Fire though. They haven’t won away from home for a year and have lost 13 of their 18 games on the road since. DC United won 2-1 at home last season thanks to two goals from Wayne Rooney, and I think they will win here too.
Philadelphia Union 2 v 1 Colorado Rapids – Wednesday 29 May – MLS – Philadelphia Win and Over 2.5 Goals (1.80)
Philadelphia Union are in form and are still competing at the top of the Eastern Conference. In contrast, Colorado Rapids are bottom of the Western Conference. They have lost five of their six away games this season and I think will be a step too far for them. I see a Home Win and I’m going for Over 2.5 Goals, which has happened in seven of the last ten meetings between these teams.
Turkey 0 v 0 Greece – Thursday 30 May – Friendly – Under 2.5 Goals (1.50)
I’m not sure that you can really call this a friendly. These two nations do not like one another and neither will want to lose to their rivals. Turkey have home advantage but they’ve only won three of their last ten games. Greece are in better form with five wins in ten games, but they are not as strong as they used to be. I’m going for a low-scoring Draw.
Dundalk 2 v 1 Sligo – Friday 31 May – Premier Division – Dundalk Win (1.25)
Dundalk have won the Premier Division in four of the past five seasons and it’s no surprise to see them at the top of the table again. Their opponents Sligo are in the bottom half but are actually unbeaten against the champions this year, with a win and a draw so far. However, Dundalk won the four meetings before that and I think they are too strong at the moment.
