Hi gang! The Champions League is back this week and there are some great games coming up. I got all five of my Match Tips correct at the weekend and I like the ones for this week.
Manchester United v PSG – Tuesday 12 February – Champions League – BET HERE
When the draw was made in December I though United had no chance, but I’ve completely changed my mind. They’re on their best run of form in years and will still be haunted by their loss to Sevilla this stage last year. PSG are missing Neymar and Edinson Cavani but I still think they’ll score, since both teams have scored in their last ten European games. However, they’ve only won one of their last five away matches in the Champions League, so I’m backing a Home Win.
Match Tip: Both Teams to Score (Odds: 1.55)
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Manchester United 2 v 1 PSG
AS Roma v Porto – Tuesday 12 February – Champions League – BET HERE
Roma have only lost two of their 15 home games this season in all competitions and they beat Chievo easily on Friday night. That said, I was impressed by Porto in the group stages. The Portuguese champions won five of their six games, scoring 15 goals, and they’ve only lost twice in their last ten Champions League away games. I think the visitors could get a Draw here.
Match Tip: Over 2.5 Goals (Odds: 1.90)
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: AS Roma 2 v 2 Porto
Ajax v Real Madrid – Wednesday 13 February – Champions League – BET HERE
I expect goals in this tie. Ajax will not be afraid of Real, especially after going unbeaten in the group stage (which included two draws with Bayern Munich). They’re also unbeaten at home this season with 14 wins in 17 matches at the Amsterdam Arena. Real have played well in the last week at Barcelona and Atletico, but this is their third away game in a row and I’m not sure they will win.
Match Tip: Over 2.5 Goals (Odds: 1.50)
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Ajax 2 v 2 Real Madrid
Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund – Wednesday 13 February – Champions League – BET HERE
Tottenham recovered from a poor start in their group to take seven points from their last three games. They’ve won five of their seven home games in the Champions League since the start of last season, only losing to Juventus and Barcelona. I think Dortmund’s priorities lie in the Bundesliga and, since they lost twice to Spurs last season, I can see the hosts winning this leg.
Match Tip: Both Teams to Score (Odds: 1.60)
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Tottenham 2 v 1 Borussia Dortmund
Lazio v Sevilla – Thursday 14 February – Europa League – BET HERE
Both of these teams were inconsistent in the group stages, so it’s a tough one to call. Lazio lost three of their games and have only kept one clean sheet in their last ten Europa League games. That said, Sevilla lost two of their three away games in the group and have lost four in a row on the road. I expect Lazio to win here, but I think Sevilla will make it tough for them.
