Mr. Predictor looks at cup games around Europe

Hello everyone. Here are my thoughts for the week. If you agree, you can bet on these tips here.

Inter Milan 2 v 1 Cagliari – Tuesday 14 January – Coppa Italia – Inter Milan Win (1.50)

Inter dropped points in the Serie A on Saturday but they should have more luck here in the Coppa Italia. They are hosting Cagliari, who have lost their last four games and, even though they have a strong record in the cup, they have also lost four of their last five matches against Inter. The Nerazzurri haven’t been very good in the cup in recent years, drawing five of their last seven games, but I think they will be too strong for Cagliari.

Tottenham 2 v 0 Middlesbrough – Tuesday 14 January – FA Cup – Tottenham Win with 0:1 Handicap (1.75)

These teams drew 1-1 last weekend so they have to do battle again. Tottenham have won four of their six home games since Jose Mourinho took charge and they had chances to get a point against Liverpool on Saturday. They also have a won their last six home games in the FA Cup, with five of those coming on the 0:1 Handicap. Boro are 16th in the Championship and have lost both of their away games in the FA Cup in the last five years. I can only see an easy Home Win.

Man United 2 v 1 Wolves – Wednesday 15 January – FA Cup – Both Teams to Score (1.75)

This is another FA Cup replay and Manchester United will be more confident after an easy 4-0 win over Norwich on Saturday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have won seven of their last ten games at Old Trafford in all competitions. They’ve been similarly dominant in the cup, where they’re currently on a five-game winning streak at home. Wolves haven’t won any of their last four games and have just one win in their last five away games. I’m going for a Home Win. Also, Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in nine of Wolves’ last ten away games and four of their last five games against United.

AS Monaco 1 v 2 PSG – Wednesday 15 January – Ligue 1 – Over 2.5 Goals (1.30)

It ended 3-3 when these teams played on Sunday and I’m hoping for more entertainment here! I was impressed by Monaco, who are now unbeaten in their last five league games. They have scored 34 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season, a number only bettered by PSG. The visitors are top of the league with 46 goals and have won eight of their last ten games in all competitions. I don’t think they will drop points again, especially since they have won nine of their last ten games against Monaco. I’m backing an Away Win.

Parma 1 v 1 AS Roma – Thursday 16 January – Coppa Italia – Both Teams to Score (1.65)

This is an interesting clash. Parma beat Roma earlier this season and have won six of their last ten home games in the Coppa Italia. Roma were beaten by Juventus on Sunday night, which means they have lost both of their games so far in 2020. They have also lost their last three away games in the cup, including a 7-1 defeat to Fiorentina a year ago. I don’t think they will win here either, and my Match Tip is Both Teams to Score. It’s happened in four of Roma’s last five away games.
