Hello gang! The Premier League is back and there are some great fixtures. I’m excited for Man City v Chelsea on Saturday night, but before that there’s the small matter of Jose Mourinho’s first game at Spurs. Check out these tips and, if you like them, bet here.
Leganes 1 v 3 Barcelona – Saturday 23 November – La Liga – Barcelona Win on 1:0 Handicap (2.20)
This is a complete mismatch on paper. Barcelona are top of La Liga, having won four of their last five league games. They’ve been strong after coming back from the international breaks, too, with big wins against Villarreal and Eibar. Leganes are bottom of the table on six points after 13 games played. They’ve lost five of their seven home games this season and have been beaten by at least two clear goals in four of their last six games against Barcelona. I think the Catalans will extend their lead at the top, at least temporarily.
West Ham 1 v 2 Tottenham – Saturday 23 November – Premier League – Both Teams to Score (1.50)
Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge of Tottenham has made what was already a tasty derby even bigger! Spurs have only won three league games this season and haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home in the league since New Year’s Day! Under these circumstances I’d often back West Ham to get a result, but they’re on a terrible run themselves. The Irons haven’t won any of their last six league games, losing four. They’ve also lost their last three games against Spurs at the London Stadium. It’s an early test, but I believe Mourinho will start with a win.
Manchester City 3 v 2 Chelsea – Saturday 23 November – Premier League – Over 2.5 Goals (1.40)
I’m expecting a really entertaining clash here. That defeat to Liverpool before the international break leaves City fourth in the Premier League. They’ve now dropped 11 points this season, which is alarming given that they only dropped 16 in the whole of last season. Chelsea are third after six consecutive wins in the league. Frank Lampard has even more attacking options at his disposal too, so I think there will be goals. Over 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in five of City’s six home league games, while it’s happened in all of Chelsea’s six away games. As for a winner? I think that City’s home form gives them a narrow edge.
Torino 1 v 2 Inter Milan – Saturday 23 November – Serie A – Inter Milan Win (1.85)
I’d expected more from Torino this season. They have now lost six of their past ten games, which is a far cry from the form that got them into the Europa League qualifiers last season. Meanwhile, Inter Milan have been superb and find themselves chasing Juventus at the top of the Serie A. They have won ten of their 12 league games this season and, more importantly, all six away from home. The Nerazzurri have only won two of their last ten games against Torino, but Antonio Conte has transformed this side and I think they will leave with the three points this time.
Sheffield United 1 v 1 Manchester United – Sunday 24 November – Premier League – Under 2.5 Goals (1.65)
This is a really tough game for the Red Devils. Sheffield United have taken points from Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham lately and are unbeaten in their last five league games. They’re up to fifth, one point above Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. Furthermore, Man United have only won one of their last ten away games in the Premier League. I think this will be a Draw and I don’t imagine that there will be many goals. Under 2.5 Goals have been scored in eight of the Blades’ last ten league games, as well as in seven out of ten for Man United.
