On Saturday there are cup finals in Portugal, Germany and Spain, before the big Championship Play-off match on Monday. Click here to bet on my tips.
Sporting Lisbon 0 v 1 Porto – Saturday 25 May – Taca de Portugal Final – Under 2.5 Goals (1.70)
Porto beat Sporting 2-1 in the league last Saturday but still missed out on the title. They can avoid ending the season empty-handed if they win this time, though. Sporting have already picked up the Taca de Liga earlier this season. However, they’ve failed to win their last two games. I’m going to back Porto and Under 2.5 Goals, which has happened in three of the last five meetings.
RB Leipzig 1 v 2 Bayern Munich – Saturday 25 May – DFB Pokal Final – Both Teams to Score (1.65)
Bayern have already won the Bundesliga and they could make it a double. They’re unbeaten in their last 17 games against German opposition, while RB Leipzig have failed to win their last three games. I’m going for Both Teams to Score, which has happened in seven out of ten games for both teams. I see a tight game, but Bayern lost the final last year and I can’t see the same happening here.
Barcelona 3 v 1 Valencia – Saturday 25 May – Copa del Rey Final – Both Teams to Score (1.60)
Both teams have had good seasons in La Liga. Barcelona won the league and could win the Copa del Rey for the fifth time in a row, which would be a record. They have only won two of their last five games though, and they can’t afford to take Valencia lightly. Los Che finished fourth and have drawn both of their games against the champions this season. They’ve also managed to score in 16 of their 18 games away from Mestalla in 2019. I’m backing a Barca win, but I expect Valencia to score.
Atalanta 2 v 0 Sassuolo – Sunday 26 May – Serie A – Atalanta Win with 0:1 Handicap (1.65)
Atalanta are third and a win would secure them Champions League football for next season, which would be truly remarkable. They lost the Coppa final last week but followed that with a draw away to Juventus. They have won four of their last five home games and have beaten Sassuolo in each of their last four clashes. I think they’ll win this one too.
Derby 0 v 1 Aston Villa – Monday 27 May – Championship Play-Off Final – Under 2.5 Goals (1.80)
This is a massive game with a Premier League place at stake. Derby came back against Leeds in the semi-finals but they’ve only won five of their last ten games. Villa scraped past West Brom, although they are in better form with seven wins in ten matches. Since they’ve already beaten Derby twice this year, I’m going for a Villa win. I also see Under 2.5 Goals, which has happened in the last six play-off finals.
