Mr. Predictor looks at the Derby d'Italia and big games in the Premier League

Hi gang! I had a good week as all four of my Champions League tips were winners. Take a look at these tips for the weekend and see what you think. If you like my tips, bet here.

Liverpool 2 v 1 Leicester – Saturday 5 October – Premier League – Both Teams to Score

Liverpool haven’t been convincing in their last two games. They struggled to beat Sheffield United last Saturday and looked vulnerable defensively against RB Salzburg. That said, they have won their last 16 league games and haven’t lost at Anfield in the league since April 2017. Leicester are third in the standings after a 5-0 win over Newcastle and should have James Maddison back for this game, which would be a real boost. They got a draw at Anfield last season, and both teams have scored in their last six league games against the Reds. I think they will cause Liverpool problems but I’m still backing a Home Win.

Real Madrid 2 v 1 Granada – Saturday 5 October – La Liga – Over 2.5 Goals

These teams currently occupy the top two spots in La Liga so this is a big game for Real, especially after they underwhelmed in midweek. Zinedine Zidane’s side could only draw 2-2 with Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday, a result which won’t have given fans much confidence. Visitors Granada are second after four wins in their last five league games, including a 2-0 win over Barcelona two weeks ago. They have bad memories of the Bernabeu, though. They lost 5-0 on their last visit and were beaten 9-1 in 2015. I think they will do much better this time.

Arsenal 3 v 2 Bournemouth – Sunday 6 October – Premier League – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals

There are usually plenty of goals when these teams meet. The last six clashes have all featured Over 2.5 Goals, with Arsenal winning 5-1 at the Emirates at February. The Gunners are fourth at the start of the weekend but they have only won one of their last five league games. Bournemouth usually provide entertainment and Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in all of their seven league games this season. They will make life very difficult for Arsenal and I expect a close game. Normally I would tip the Cherries to get a point, but their poor away form means I’m backing a Home Win.

Southampton 1 v 2 Chelsea – Sunday 6 October – Premier League – Both Teams to Score

Chelsea’s victory over Lille on Wednesday was a significant result for Frank Lampard and his side. They’ve got another away game here and I think they will win again. The Blues have won their last four games at St. Mary’s and have won their last two away league games, scoring eight times. Southampton haven’t won any of their last five home games in the Premier League. I’m going for an Away Win and my tip is Both Teams to Score, which has happened in 14 of Southampton’s 15 home league games since Ralph Hasenhuttl took over.

Inter Milan 1 v 1 Juventus – Sunday 6 October – Serie A – Under 2.5 Goals

The Derby d’Italia is always the biggest in the Italian football calendar and it will mean even more given the two teams’ league positions. Inter are sitting in Juventus’ usual throne at the top of the Serie A having won all six of their games so far, during which time they have only conceded twice. Antonio Conte’s side lost at Barcelona in midweek but played well and Romelu Lukaku should be fit to feature. Juventus are second after five wins and one draw to date but they’re starting to gain momentum. These teams drew 1-1 at the San Siro in April and I expect another Draw here. Four of their last five meetings have featured Under 2.5 Goals – that could be a smart bet too.
