Mr. Predictor looks at this week’s games

Hi gang! I got four out of five Match Tips correct at the weekend. Let’s see if I can do as well this time! Click here to place your bets.

Utrecht 2 v 1 Heracles – Tuesday 21 May – Eredivise Play-off – Utrecht Win and Both Teams to Score (2.70)

Utrecht won 2-0 in the first leg, so they’re in a really strong position now. They have won three of their last five games and are unbeaten at home since January. Heracles, meanwhile, have lost their last four games and their last three matches against Utrecht. I think Both Teams to Score is a good bet. It’s happened in eight of Heracles’ last ten games and seven of the last ten against Utrecht.

Vitesse 2 v 1 Groningen – Tuesday 21 May – Eredivise Play-off – Both Teams to Score (1.65)

This tie lies perfectly in the balance after Groningen won 2-1 in first leg. They’ve only won three away games all season though, while Vitesse have lost just once at home in the league, which was to Ajax in September. Both teams have scored in Vitesse Arnhem’s last 13 home league games, so I’m backing the same here. I think it will be a Home Win, but don’t rule out extra time.

Amiens 1 v 0 Guingamp – Friday 24 May – Ligue 1 – Under 2.5 Goals (1.80)

That defeat to Monaco on Saturday has put Amiens in danger now. They’re 17th and haven’t won any of their last nine games, although most of those have been draws. It’s lucky that they’re playing Guingamp, who are bottom and have lost 11 of their 18 away games this season. Amiens have won their last two games against them too, so I have to go for a Home Win.

Caen 1 v 0 Bordeaux – Friday 24 May – Ligue 1 – Caen Win (1.40)

Caen are 18th and need a point to avoid 19th place, which would mean certain relegation. However, they could climb to 17th if they win here, and they’re in good form after winning three of their last five games. Bordeaux have lost six games in a row and haven’t scored in any of the last three. They’ve only beaten Caen once in their last five match-ups, so a Home Win looks likely.

Marseille 2 v 2 Montpellier – Friday 24 May – Ligue 1 – Both Teams to Score (1.45)

This has been a really disappointing campaign for Marseille. They are sixth in the table and, even though they beat Toulouse 5-2 on Saturday, they have lost their last two home games. Montpellier are one place above them and haven’t lost any of their last six matches. I’m going for Both Teams to Score, which has happened in seven out of ten games for both sides. I see a Draw too.
