Mr. Predictor looks at the week ahead

Hi gang! This week I’m looking at the big matches in the World Cup, as well as the games in Veikkausliiga that could change things at both ends of the table.

Sweden v Switzerland – Tuesday 3 July – World Cup – BET HERE

Sweden came top of their group after an impressive 3-0 win over Mexico in the final game, despite having lost to Germany in the dying seconds four days earlier. Switzerland are still unbeaten in the tournament after they finished second in Group E and I fancy them to put up a fight. Both teams have scored in four of their last five games though, and I see the same here too.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Sweden 1 v 1 Switzerland

Colombia v England – Tuesday 3 July – World Cup – BET HERE

Considering that they lost their opening game, Colombia did well to come back and finish top of Group H. They now play England, who lost for the first time in over a year when Belgium beat them 1-0 on Thursday. The Three Lions should be fresher though, as most of the first team players were rested there. England haven’t reached the quarter-finals since 2006 but I’ll back them here.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Colombia 1 v 2 England

HJK Helsinki v PS Kemi – Wednesday 4 July – Veikkausliiga – BET HERE

HJK are seven points clear at the top of the league and have won six of their eight home games in the Veikkausliiga, including each of the last five. It’s not going so well for PS Kemi, who have lost four of their past five games. I think this will be an easy Home Win, especially since HJK have won their last six games against the visitors. A Win on the -1 handicap looks a good option here.

Match Tip: HJK Helsinki Win with -1 handicap
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: HJK Helsinki 2 v 0 PS Kemi

Mariehamn v Honka – Wednesday 4 July – Veikkausliiga – BET HERE

It’s now seven defeats in ten matches for Mariehamn, while both teams have scored in seven of those ten games. Honka were only promoted at the start of the season but they’re surprising a few people. They’ve lost just twice so far this campaign, although their defence is vulnerable. Both teams have scored in 13 of their 16 games but I fancy them to win this game.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Mariehamn 1 v 2 Honka

Uruguay v France – Friday 6 July – World Cup – BET HERE

This is the first quarter final of the 2018 World Cup and I expect a great game. Uruguay are on a seven game winning streak and knocked out Portugal in the last round. They’ve only conceded once in 2018, but you can expect their defence to be tested here. France haven’t been to the semi-finals since 2006 but their attack was rampant against Argentina and we all know they have the forwards to hurt any side. This game is really tough to call and, in all honesty, I can see a Draw.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Uruguay 1 v 1 France
