Mr. Predictor tackles the big games on Saturday and Sunday

The international matches keep coming! Uganda and DR Congo are in action this Saturday, while there’s a big derby in Europe. Have a look at my thoughts.

Uganda v Lesotho – Saturday 13 October – AFCON Qualifiers – BET HERE

It’s hard to look past a victory for the Cranes here. They’re on four points from two qualifiers so far and have conceded just once in their past ten qualifiers at home. Lesotho drew away to Tanzania last year in their first match of qualification, but they had lost nine of their previous ten qualifiers on foreign soil. I’m going for a Home Win, and I don’t think the visitors will score.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score No
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Uganda 2 v 0 Lesotho

DR Congo v Zimbabwe – Saturday 13 October – AFCON Qualifiers – BET HERE

This is a game between two sides in mixed form. The Leopards haven’t won any of their past three games and they have scored and conceded in eight of their last ten games. They’ve been strong in recent qualifiers though, with five wins in the last six. Zimbabwe have scored in eight of their last ten AFCON qualifiers, so I expect them to find the net here. Despite this, I’m backing a Home Win.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: DR Congo 2 v 1 Zimbabwe

Republic of Ireland v Denmark – Saturday 13 October – Nations League – BET HERE

Twelve months ago Denmark thrashed Ireland in the play-offs to reach the World Cup, and I doubt the hosts have forgotten it! However, they’ve lost three of their past five matches, including a 4-1 defeat to Wales in their opening Nations League game. The Danes are missing Christian Eriksen’s creativity though, and since nine of their last ten games have seen Under 2.5 Goals, I see a goalless Draw.

Match Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Republic of Ireland 0 v 0 Denmark

Netherlands v Germany – Saturday 13 October – Nations League – BET HERE

Things have changed a lot for both of these sides in the last year. The Netherlands are on the up with six wins in ten games, but they need to get something here after they lost to France in their first game. The Germans are still trying to get over their horrific World Cup campaign and they weren’t at their best in their stalemate with France last month. They’ve only kept one clean sheet in their past ten matches too, and I think they’ll concede here. I expect a Draw.

Match Tip: Both Teams to Score
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Netherlands 1 v 1 Germany

Scotland v Portugal – Sunday 14 October – Friendly – BET HERE

No Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal, but the reigning European champions still have plenty of quality. Bernardo Silva, Andre Silva and Ruben Neves have all started the season in hot form and are in line to start here. Scotland have lost seven of their last ten friendly matches, including a 4-0 defeat to Belgium in September. I think this will be a typical low-scoring win for Portugal.

Match Tip: Under 2.5 Goals
Mr. Predictor’s Verdict: Scotland 0 v 1 Portugal
