Mr. Predictor’s betting tips for the week: July 29th

Hi everyone, Mr. Predictor here, back with some betting tips. This week we are looking at Champions League qualifiers, Europa League qualifiers and the return of the Championship. Let’s win some money! You can bet on my tips here.

Real Madrid 1 v 2 Tottenham – Tuesday 30 July – Friendly – Both Teams to Score (1.45)

It may only be pre-season, but Real Madrid’s form is a worry. They have lost four of their last five in all competitions. They won against Arsenal, but not in 90 minutes. Spurs meanwhile have one win and one defeat. They won’t like to see Eden Hazard, who scored six goals against them whilst at Chelsea. However, I worry for Madrid and think this north London side will beat them.

Basel 1 v 1 PSV – Tuesday 30 July – Champions League Qualifier – Both Teams to Score (1.50)

This should be an exciting game as the first leg ended 3-2 in favour of PSV. Since then, the Dutch side lost 2-0 to Ajax in the Super Cup in Amsterdam. Basel also lost on the weekend as St. Gallen won 2-1 at St. Jakob-Park. Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in 12 of Basel’s last 13 games. PSV have only kept one clean sheet in their last five away games. I think both will cancel each other out.

Qarabag 2 v 0 Dundalk – Wednesday 31 July – Champions League Qualifier – Qarabag Win (1.60)

The first leg ended 1-1 in Ireland last weekend, which will suit Qarabag. They have more experience in European football than Dundalk and I expect that to show with a victory in Azerbaijan. The home side are undefeated in their last six games in all competitions, but four of those were draws. Dundalk sit pretty at the top of the Irish Premier Division, but I think their Champions League journey ends here.

Maccabi Haifa 1 v 2 Strasbourg – Thursday 1 August – Europa League Qualifier – Both Teams to Score (1.55)

Strasbourg are in the driving seat having won 3-1 in France last week. That away goal though should make the Israeli team more driven to push at home. Considering Both Teams to Score has happened in three of Strasbourg’s last five games, I can see this happening at the Sammy Ofer Stadium on Thursday night.

Luton Town 2 v 1 Middlesbrough – Friday 2 August – Championship – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals (2.20)

It might seem controversial to be backing Luton to win and for there to be a lot of goals. However, I think the Championship is going to return with a bang. I fancy the Hatters to give lots of teams a tough time at home. This is Jonathan Woodgate’s first competitive game as Middlesbrough manager. Boro won three, lost two and drew once in pre-season. Luton managed three wins and one defeat. I can see goals today.
