Mr. Predictor's betting tips for the week

Betting tips

Football is officially back! The Premier League restart lived up to my expectations and this week the action continues with Chelsea taking on Manchester City. I’ve got you covered for a whole host of betting tips. If you like what you see, bet on them here.

Chelsea v Manchester City – Thursday 25th June – Premier League

There is only one place to start this week, as Pep Guardiola takes on Frank Lampard on Thursday evening. Chelsea won their opening game back, with a 2-1 win away to Aston Villa. They really should have been more comfortable though. Their lack of prowess in front of goal makes it clear why Timo Werner is being bought to the Bridge.

For Manchester City, it’s going to be a strange end to their league campaign. They dominated Arsenal in a 3-0 win on their first game back, but Liverpool’s lead means they have no realistic chance of retaining their crown. How they stay motivated will be a big task for Guardiola to overcome.

City have won this fixture twice in a row in the Premier League. Their overall quality makes odds of 1.85 for an Away Win extremely tempting. This is my bet for this fixture.

Barcelona v Athletic Bilbao – Tuesday 23rd June – La Liga

La Liga is hotting up! Barcelona have lost top spot to Real Madrid and a win here is absolutely necessary. The Blaugrana have won two and drawn one since the restart. However, they have a bad record against Bilbao. Lionel Messi and co. have lost twice in a row to Athletic and have not beaten them in five attempts.

Backing against Barca is always risky business, so I’m looking at the goals market here. Under 3.5 Goals has been a winning bet seven times in a row when these two have met. At odds of 1.50, I’m backing Under 3.5 Goals.

Manchester United v Sheffield United – Wednesday 24th June – Premier League

Manchester United drew their first game back 1-1 to Tottenham. Bruno Fernandes carried on his great form and the return of Paul Pogba led to the Red Devils earning a penalty. They go into this game against a surprise top four contender, in buoyant mood.

The opposite is true of Chris Wilder and his Sheffield United side. The Blades looked blunt in their 0-0 draw against Villa and even worse when they were thrashed 3-0 by Newcastle on Sunday.

I can’t see anything but a Home Win, which is currently at odds of 1.40.

Atalanta v Lazio – Wednesday 24th June – Serie A

There is always goals on the menu when Atalanta are in town. The break did nothing to change that, as their first game back ended in a 4-1 win over Sassuolo.

This game promises to be entertaining as the last time they met, it ended in a 3-3 draw.

Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score is a likely bet. Odds of 1.70 are available to you.

Sevilla v Real Valladolid – Friday 26th June – La Liga

Sevilla will be happy with their 0-0 draw against Barcelona on the weekend, but they need to start scoring goals to maintain a Champions League push. A lack of goals is an issue for both sides. In the six games these two have played combined since La Liga came back, only one had more than three goals. The last three meetings had Under 2.5 Goals. Therefore I am backing this at odds of 1.80
