Hi everyone! Check out my preview to the jackpot this weekend, as I take you through ten games from the list. Buy your tickets here.
Burnley vs Norwich (FA Cup)
Burnley have had two big wins in the last week and they’re suddenly looking like the tough team we’ve grown used to watching in recent years. Norwich have lost ten of their 14 away games this season, including a 2-0 defeat at Turf Moor in September. (1)
Coventry City vs Birmingham City (FA Cup)
This is a really strange game since Coventry are currently using Birmingham’s stadium! Will that cancel out their “home” advantage? I’m not sure. Birmingham have been struggling in the Championship but they’re unbeaten in their last four games. Coventry have only lost one of their last ten games though. (X)
Southampton vs Tottenham (FA Cup)
These teams met here just three weeks ago in the Premier League, when Southampton won 1-0. The Saints have been on a good run in 2020 with four wins in five games. Tottenham have only won two of their last five games and needed a late goal to beat Norwich on Wednesday. They could struggle here. (X)
Deportivo Alaves vs Villarreal (La Liga)
Alaves have a very respectable home record this season. They’ve only lost to Real Madrid and Sevilla there, winning four and drawing four of the other eight games. Villarreal are in great form but most of their recent wins have come in the Copa del Rey, so I’m hesitant to back an away win. (X)
Portsmouth vs Barnsley (FA Cup)
Portsmouth have won five games in a row. They’ve also won 14 of their 20 games at Fratton Park this season, including each of the last four. Even though Barnsley are in the division above, they are in the relegation zone and have lost three of their last five games. (1)
Werder Bremen vs Hoffenheim (Bundesliga)
A win over Fortuna Dusseldorf last weekend meant that Werder Bremen climbed above them in the Bundesliga standings, but they are still 16th. Hoffenheim are seventh and have won four of their last five away games, with the exception being a defeat at league leaders RB Leipzig. (2)
Celta Vigo vs Eibar (La Liga)
This is the sort of game that Celta Vigo have to win if they are going to stay up. Eibar are only two places above them in the table, but the visitors come into this game having beaten Atletico Madrid last weekend. Meanwhile, Celta Vigo haven’t won any of their last six league games and lost both of their matches against Eibar in 2019. (2)
AS Roma vs Lazio (Serie A)
Both of these sides are in great form. AS Roma have won six of their last ten league games and have a very strong record in the derby. Lazio have won 11 games in a row in the Serie A, though, and they’re one place above their rivals in the table. (X)
Nantes vs Bordeaux (Ligue 1)
Nantes lost 4-3 to Lyon in a crazy Coupe de France game last weekend but don’t let that distract you from their league form. They are fourth in Ligue 1 and have won four of their last six league games. Bordeaux have lost their last four league games and were knocked out of the Coupe de la Ligue in their last game. (1)
Napoli vs Juventus (Serie A)
Juventus have won eight games in a row in all competitions and are top of the Serie A again. Napoli beat Lazio in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday, but they’ve lost all three of their league games in 2020. (2)
