Hi gang! There are a few more international matches this week, before the major domestic leagues come back at the end of the week. I’ve gone through the games and come up with some tips, which you can bet on here.
Switzerland 2 v 0 Denmark – Tuesday 26 March – European Championship Qualifiers – Under 2.5 Goals (1.55)
These teams both reached the knockout stages of the World Cup last year, but they’ve got to fight for a place at the Euros next year. Switzerland have won eight of their last ten home games and qualified for the Nations League semi-finals recently. Although Denmark are unbeaten in their last six games, they could only draw with Kosovo on Thursday. I see a win for the Swiss.
Norway 1 v 0 Sweden – Tuesday 26 March – European Championship Qualifiers – Under 2.5 Goals (1.55)
Norway need a win here after they lost 2-1 away to Spain on Saturday. They’ve been in good form though, with seven wins in their last ten games overall. Sweden started their qualifying campaign well with a win against Romania, but this will be a tougher test. Norway have won their last seven home games and I think they can get the three points on Tuesday.
Hoffenheim 1 v 2 Bayer Leverkusen – Friday 29 March – Bundesliga – Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals (1.45)
Hoffenheim have only won three of their nine league games since the winter break, but their matches still deliver plenty of goals. Eight of those games have had both teams score, and six have had Over 2.5 Goals. Leverkusen are up to sixth and have won six of their last nine games in the Bundesliga. That includes three of their last four away games. I’m backing an Away Win.
Rennes 1 v 1 Lyon – Friday 29 March – Ligue 1 – Both Teams to Score (1.60)
This is a fantastic clash. Rennes are in great form and haven’t lost any of their last 14 home games in any competition. They’ve also only lost one of their last five league games and have beaten Lyon in their last two meetings. The visitors haven’t been so good lately, losing three of their last five away games. I think Rennes can get something here, so I’ll go for a Draw.
West Brom 2 v 0 Birmingham – Friday 29 March – Championship – West Brom Win (1.80)
West Brom have won their last two games since the change of manager and I think they’ll continue that run here. They’re ten points clear of seventh in the Championship and know that a few more wins will confirm a place in the play-offs. It’s not looking so good for Birmingham. They’ve lost their last four matches without scoring. I see a Home Win.
