Another big weekend in the football calendar is upon us. The Madrid derby is the highlight, but there are also big games in England and Germany that promise to be entertaining affairs. Click here to bet on my tips.

Atletico Madrid 1 v 1 Real Madrid – Saturday 28 September – La Liga – Both Teams to Score

It’s Madrid derby time! Zinedine Zidane has eased the pressure slightly after his charges secured a 1-0 win away from home at Sevilla. A win at their city rivals would really get things moving. Atletico, for their part, have hit a bit of a slump, having lost to Real Sociedad and then only managing to draw at home to Celta Vigo earlier in the month. Both sides have the quality to score goals and Both Teams to Score has been a winning bet in three of their last five meetings. The same stat is true for three of Real’s last five away games, so I’m backing that tonight.

Chelsea 2 v 1 Brighton – Saturday 28 September – Premier League – Over 2.5 Goals

Frank Lampard is going in search of his first win at Stamford Bridge when Brighton come to town. Chelsea are scoring for fun but their defence is not right. Only Liverpool and Manchester City have scored more than the Blues, but only Norwich and Watford have conceded more than them. It is no surprise then that Over 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in four of their five league games. The last three meetings with the Seagulls also had Over 2.5 Goals, so that is my bet for this one.

RB Leipzig 2 v 1 Schalke – Saturday 28 September – Bundesliga – Over 2.5 Goals

RB Leipzig are looking to maintain their grip on first place in the Bundesliga when they host Schalke. Looking at the menu, all I can see is goals! Both sides have had Over 2.5 Goals in four of their five league games this season and they’re both in form. Leipzig are unbeaten and Schalke have strung together three wins in a row. However, Leipzig hold the upper hand in the head-to-head and I think they will win again today.

Borussia Dortmund 3 v 1 Werder Bremen – Saturday 28 September – Bundesliga – Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score

An 88th minute own goal saw Dortmund throw away two precious points last time out. That 2-2 draw meant Bayern and Leipzig are now above them in the table. This is another German game that screams goals galore. Over 2.5 Goals has happened in all five of both side’s league games this season. Amazingly, 11 out of the last 12 meetings had Over 2.5 Goals and all 12 had Both Teams to Score. Paco Alcácer is on fire, with five league goals already this season. I think he’s going to power Dortmund to an exciting win.

Strasbourg 1 v 1 Montpellier – Sunday 29 September – Ligue 1 – Under 2.5 Goals

Both of these sides have started their Ligue 1 campaigns inconsistently. Under 2.5 Goals has been a winning bet in four of Strasbourg’s last 5 home games in Ligue 1. For Montpellier, that bet has won in all of their last five away Ligue 1 games. I can’t split the two, so a low scoring draw is how I’m calling this.
