Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a deal with David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

The Juventus star is out of contract with the Old Lady at the end of the 2021/22 Serie A season. Now it seems as though Beckham’s new MLS franchise is his favoured destination.

The 35-year-old has 21 goals in Serie A for Maurizio Sarri’s team, who sit first in the Italian top-flight table.

Reports of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star’s next move comes from Don Balon. They claim that Ronaldo would move to Inter Miami if Juve don’t achieve Champions League glory under his current contract.

Ronaldo to Inter Miami signals the end

Ronaldo has long been a superstar of the game but a move to Miami would surely signal the beginning of the end.

The Portuguese has won it all in his career. Three Premier League titles, two La Liga trophies, one Serie A title and five Champions League successes, are just some of his trophies. Ronaldo also lifted the European Championship at France 2016.

A move to Inter Miami would beg the question, will we see a player like him, or his great rival, Lionel Messi again? The new wave of talent in football will think they can emulate the great man but the reality may be different.

Ronaldo moved to Juventus from Madrid in the summer of 2018. In his first season in Turin he scored 21 goals in 32 league appearances.

That led some to believe the Portuguese was on his way down. However, he has responded in this campaign and has matched last year’s goal tally after just 22 games.

Beckham in Miami

As for Beckham, his Inter Miami side was founded in 2018, before they competed in this year’s MLS.

The Herons lost their opening two MLS fixtures before the season came to a hault due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The addition of Ronaldo to their roster in a year’s time would put Beckham’s franchise on the map.
