Tammy Abraham hunting a third brace
Abraham has been a revelation to Chelsea so far after managing four goals in three starts. He is in line to achieve a feat managed only by Cristiano Ronaldo and Dele Alli if he scores two goals for the Blues in Saturday’s match against Wolves at Molineux, as it would be his third consecutive brace in the Premier League. Abraham’s goal return can simply be described as clinical as he has scored a goal on average every 63.5 minutes, only Sergio Aguero as done better this season averaging a goal every 44 minutes. He has clearly repaid the confidence given to him by Frank Lampard and he will most certainly have an opportunity this weekend.
Liverpool to keep brilliant record against Newcastle
Liverpool have taken an early lead in the Premier League title race and they will be hoping to extend that record this weekend when they host Newcastle. Fortunately for them they can take faith in the fact that they have an incredibly impressive record against their opponents. The Reds are unbeaten in 23 Premier League home matches against Newcastle United. Not just that, they have scored in each of those fixtures, netting 58 times while keeping 12 clean sheets in the process. We expect the Reds to be extremely dominant but the visitors will also try to pull an upset as they did away to Tottenham.
Kevin De Bruyne to chase Thierry Henry assist record
Manchester City will visit Norwich this weekend and they will be out to earn all the three points. De Bruyne has begun the season in great form and could take a step further to cement his legendary status in the Premier League with a good outing. The Belgian is on course to equal a record set by Thierry Henry, who assisted seven goals in the first five matches of a season. De Bruyne has assisted five goals this term and, if he can manage another two at Carrow Road, he will equal Henry’s record.
Tottenham to get back to winning ways
Tottenham have not had quite the start they would have liked to the Premier League season but they have done well to draw against Manchester City and Arsenal. They will have an opportunity to bounce back this weekend when they play Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs have won their last eight Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and they should have enough to take all three points here. Crystal Palace are no easy pushovers but the home advantage should count in favour of Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Baptism by fire for Sanchez Flores?
Watford’s season has not gone according to plan and they have had to change plans with Sanchez Flores taking over from Javi Gracia. Flores’s first assignment will be at home when they welcome Arsenal and it promises to be a tough outing. The Hornets have claimed one point from four Premier League games this season and they will have to change that with results. Whether they can do that against Arsenal remain to be seen.
