Things to look out for in the Premier League: Matchweek 4

The Premier League enters the fourth week with North London Derby the highlight. Watford are also looking for their first win of the season while Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki could become only the third player to score in his first four appearances in the top flight. Here are the things to look out for. Bet on the Premier League here.

North London Derby

The Gunners welcome arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a nail-biting 186th North London Derby. The hosts have dominated this fixture at home and registered a spectacular 4-2 win at home in the previous campaign. Unai Emery’s side been beaten only twice in 27 meetings at home during the Premier League era, and their record has remained consistent since they moved to the Emirates 13 years ago too. They have picked up 28 points against Tottenham at the Emirates. Moreover, this match could see Spurs striker Harry Kane become the joint-highest goalscorer in north London derbies in all competitions, joining Emmanuel Adebayor and Bobby Smith on ten goals. Who will walk away with the bragging rights?

Manchester United to bounce back?

The Red Devils started the new season in style by hammering Chelsea 4-0 but were humbled by a disappointing 1-1 draw at Wolves and a 1-2 loss to Crystal Palace last weekend. Moreover, their season has been plagued by penalty misses by Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford. Pogba had one saved at Wolves and then Rashford fired against the post during Crystal Palace’s shock win at Old Trafford. United were poor against Palace, creating few clear-cut chances despite dominating possession throughout the afternoon. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were held at St Mary’s last season but can they bounce back from that poor palace performance with a win? Southampton’s season started poorly as they were easily beaten by an impressive Burnley but have won their last match.

Bournemouth poor away form

Bournemouth have often struggled away from home in the Premier League. Eddie Howe’s men followed up a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United by beating newcomers Aston Villa 2-1 and losing 3-1 to defending champions Manchester City. The Cherries have lost 11 of their last 15 away matches in the league a run that included nine straight defeats. Can they get something at the King Power? Meanwhile, Leicester have been strong at home after Brendan Rodgers took over. The Foxes are just one of four unbeaten teams in the league so far. They have won four of their last seven matches at home, losing just once. Can this good run continue?

Watford’s first win of the campaign?

The Hornets registered a much-needed Carabao Cup win over Coventry on Tuesday but are yet to pick up a point from their three top-flight games. Javi Gracia’s men have lost to Brighton, Everton and West Ham, netting only once in the process. They face a Newcastle side who were tipped to get relegated after losing their first two matches. However, a shock win over Spurs last weekend has eased the fear. Gracia is under severe pressure to steady the ship with his players looking devoid of confidence. Can they get their first win of the season?

Teemu Pukki scoring record

Norwich striker Teemu Pukki has made a terrific start to the season scoring five goals in five games and sitting top of the goal-scoring charts. If he scores against West Ham on Saturday, the Finn will become only the third player to score in his first four Premier League games, after Diego Costa, who scored seven in that time, and Micky Quinn, who had six. Pukki should be rubbing his hands keeping in mind that the Canaries next opponents West Ham have conceded seven goals.
