The Scottish Premiership is set to kick off on Saturday and today we will be looking at some of the things to watch out for during the action. Bet on football here.

Motherwell’s impressive run to continue?

Livingston will begin their Scottish Premiership campaign when they host Motherwell at the Tony Macaroni Arena. The hosts will want a repeat of their start to their 2018/2019 campaign where a good run of form gave them a massive boost in their relegation battle.  Motherwell on the other hand have been far better and, quite frankly, much more convincing. This is such that they have not conceded any goals in their last seven outings. They will face worthy opposition but from what we have seen so far, they have what it takes to come out of this on top.

St. Mirren to struggle

St. Mirren will travel to Edinburgh on Saturday for their opening day fixture against Hibernian. The visitors have not shown any drastic improvements from the side that barely survived the drop last season. Their form is nothing short of disastrous, as they have only won once in their six pre-season games whilst also been knocked out of the League Cup. Hibs should have little trouble overcoming their visitors, as their form is far superior and they have home advantage to count on here.

Celtic out to dominate

Celtic will get their title defence underway when they host St Johnstone at Celtic Park on Saturday. This will mark their quest to seek a ninth consecutive title following on from their progression to the next round of Champions League qualifiers. Celtic’s utter dominance in Scotland is undeniable and they will be hoping to retain their treble once again. The Saints have yet to find their feet during pre-season and a visit to Celtic under such circumstances can only mean one thing.

Rangers to rely on solid defence

Rangers will travel to Ayrshire to face Kilmarnock on their opening day of the 2019/2020 season. Their main objective this season will be to stop Celtic’s dominance in the league and they look set to put up a worthy challenge. Killie have not looked the same side since the departure of Steve Clarke and this will not bode well for them considering their opposition’s qualities. The Gers have conceded just once in their last eight games and their defence should have little to do here.

Both Teams to Score (Aberdeen v Hearts)

Aberdeen will begin their Premiership campaign at home when they host Hearts this Sunday. The hosts finished their pre-season preparations in fine form, failing to lose a single one of their matches. The visitor equally enjoyed a productive pre-season. They will be hoping to improve on their previous season, which was somewhat lacklustre given how strongly they started. There is a good case for goals at both ends as the sides have seen that outcome come true in at least three of their most recent fixtures. Odds are 2.00 on our website.
