Top 5 Bets for the Week: September 11-14

Soccer Football - UEFA Nations League - League A - Group 4 - England v Spain - Wembley Stadium, London, Britain - September 8, 2018 Spain's Rodrigo celebrates scoring their second goal with Spain's Thiago Alcantara REUTERS/Toby Melville

Our top bets for the week feature Nations League, international friendlies, the Copa del Rey and the Bundesliga.

Spain v Croatia – Home Win – 1.45 – BET HERE

Spain will host Croatia in the UEFA Nations League as La Roja aim to build on their win at Wembley against England. Spain have an opportunity to take firm control here with a victory against World Cup runners-up. This is expected to be a very competitive match and Spain will be desperate to prove their mettle with a good showing following a disastrous World Cup. For all of their recent failings, Spain have not suffered a competitive home defeat since June 2003 and are unbeaten in 25 outings overall. There is a real competition for places in the side following the appointment of Luis Enrique as the head coach and they should get the job done here.

Colombia v Argentina – Both Teams To Score – 1.90 – BET HERE

Colombia and Argentina will face off in an all-South American international clash on Wednesday. Colombia have a chance to put to rest memories from the World Cup that saw them eliminated by England with a solid performance. Argentina have called up some new players but most of their players who played in the World Cup were left out, including Lionel Messi. Colombia have scored an average of 1.6 goals a game over their last five outings, whilst Argentina have scored an average of 2.6 per match over their last three fixtures.

USA v Mexico – Double Chance 1X – 1.50 – BET HERE

A close match is expected as the USA and Mexico take on each other at Nashville where the bragging rights will be at stake. The two sides are likely to miss a good number of their first 11 but that does not take away from the rivalry between the sides. The sides drew 1-1 in their last meeting, played back in June 2017. Mexico had won the two games contested prior to that clash, however, the US have lost just one of their last 13 home friendlies. There is a very strong case for backing a Double Chance here for a Home Win or Draw.

Elche v Granada – Away Win – 2.85 – BET HERE

Elche are set to play host to Granada in their upcoming Copa Del Rey fixture in what promises to be a mouthwatering clash. The hosts have a pretty poor record against their guests as they are winless in their last five outings. As it were the record stands at two wins for the visitor and three draws. Interestingly all have tended to be low scoring affairs. Granada are the form teams having won their last two fixtures whilst Elche have only managed one win in their last five outings. Therefore there is value in backing an Away Win here.

Borussia Dortmund v Eintracht Frankfurt –Over 2.5 – 1.50 – BET HERE

Borussia Dortmund will play Eintracht Frankfurt at the Signal Iduna Park in the Friday Bundesliga fixture. The two sides have started the season pretty well with Dortmund accumulating four points out of a possible six, whilst Frankfurt managed three in the same period. Past meetings between the two have often produced a lot of goals as has been the case in their last five encounters where Over 2.5 Goals were achieved.
