The AFCON round of 16 is expected to resume shortly and we have gone through outrights according to our website for the potential top scorers. Bet on AFCON here.

Mohamed Salah is undoubtedly one of the very best goal scorers around the globe and it would only be natural to expect him to win the Golden Boot in the AFCON 2019. He has won the Premier League Golden Boot in two successive seasons and thus has the pedigree to perform here. So far he has started the tournament very well with two goals to his name. Our site has him as the favourite to win the Golden Boot and this is very likely, especially given that the Pharaohs are playing at home. He is placed at odds of 4.95 to win the Golden Boot.

Coming in close second is Sadio Mane who was joint top scorer in the just concluded Premier League season. The Senegalese has not been very stellar in the tournament but he has been getting better with each game. He scored in their last fixture against Kenya and if he can maintain his level of consistency then Senegal can fancy themselves going further in the AFCON. He is placed at odds of 5.50 to give Mo Salah a run for his money.

Ghana have largely relied on the genius of Jordan Ayew in front of goal and to this end he has already scored two goals. He has been preferred ahead of the legendary Asamoah Gyan and he has not disappointed so far. Ghana are considered one of the stand out teams likely to make it to the latter stages of the tournament and Ayew will be part of that ambition. Odds of 16.50 have been offered for him to finish as top scorer.

Cedric Bakambu and the DR Congo began their AFCON campaign on a low gear after losing the first two fixtures. However, a deserving performance against Zimbabwe ensured that they qualified for the next round of fixtures. He managed to score two goals in the process and we hope he can only get better in the coming days. Our website has him at odds of 16.75 to win the Golden Boot but he will have to work hard for it.

Finally to complete out list of outrights to win the Golden Boot is Odion Ighalo. The Nigerian international has had a stellar season with his club Beijing Guoan and he has been instrumental in the progress of the Nigerian national team. He emerged top in the qualifiers and he has demonstrated that he can be trusted to lead the Super Eagles attack. Odds of 25.00 have been floated on our website for him to win the Golden Boot
